getting engaged may not be the magical moment you dreamed of. Even if everything is perfect on paper, from the romantic setting to the sweetest words to the guy you’ve wanted to marry forever, being proposed to can be, well, kind of awkward.
Why? For one, some of us may have built up the proposal in our heads to perhaps unreachable standards (guilty!). For another, while it’s wonderful in a way, it can also be weird to watch someone you know so well do two things he’s likely never done before: get down on one knee and ask you to marry him. Like any first-time experience, odds are it won’t go exactly as you’d always hoped.
And some people say that:I don't see what's so bad about this post... it's realistic. I'm trying not to build up the proposal in my head too much so that I don't get disappointed. Obviously I'll be grateful when my guy proposes - no matter how it's done - all Meredith is saying is that it may not be as magical as you hoped. Few things in life live up to people's expectations, and a proposal could be one of them. I don't think she sounds ungrateful at all. And woollygirl... I understand how this post may have hit a nerve, but at least your guy is ok and was finally able to propose :
